He was a fighter and he believed in peace.
Yehuda Farhi, father of prominent London businessperson Shmuel Farhi, made his mark early in life, at age 14 joining the Israeli military organization Haganah, which fought Palestinian Arabs and even the British military, in the 1940s.
“He was a tough guy.
When he fought the Arabs and British he told stories about bullets whistling around his head,” said Shmuel Farhi, remembering his father.
“He was a remarkable man, very modest.

He loved everyone, loved talking to everyone. He saw everyone equally.”
Yehuda Farhi died June 22 in London of lung cancer. He was 84.
